Description

The study abroad options through the Barcelona SAE at the University of Barcelona (UB) are specifically designed for students who have at least some Spanish language background. The UB offers an Estudios Hispanicos (Hispanic Studies) program taught in Spanish but adapted to the students' proficiency levels; this program also has a strong focus on learning outside of the classroom. There are many interactive lessons within the city of Barcelona throughout the semester.

Barcelona Study Abroad Experience knows that just as much learning takes place outside the classroom as inside which is why we organize several cultural activities and excursions throughout the term. (Imagine learning a little more about the history of Spain through a cooking class, or learning about Southern Spain's traditions while enjoying a Flamenco show. Get to know the barrios, or neighborhoods, of Barcelona in greater detail with guided tours or scavenger hunts.
