Baganara Island Resort is owned and operated by Evergreen Adventures Inc, the premier tour operator in Guyana. Pre-eminent among the three hundred and sixty-five islands in the mighty Essequibo is this wonderful little paradise with 187 acres of lush green foliage and colourful tropical flowers. Five miles South of Bartica, it isthe gateway to the unspoilt rainforest of Guyana and the junction where the great Essequibo and Mazaruni Riversmeet.

The Resort has a seventeen-room capacity, with 13 self-contained superior rooms and 4 standard rooms. Additionally, the resort houses a modern conference/boardroom facility with a 60-seat capacity and an additional gazebo that can accommodate up to 20 persons.

You could enjoy a 20-minute flight directly to the island from Georgetown or a picturesque trip of a one-hour drive along the coast and one hour by boat from the mouth of the Essequibo.

At Baganara Island Resort we offer a variety of other outdoor activities including canoeing, fishing, water skiing, kayaking, volleyball, table tennis, pools, riding wave runners, banana boats, pedal boats or simply sunbathing and swimming.
