Highlights

On a 10 week placement with us you will find out what it is like to work for an innovative technical consultancy, spanning the role of Data Analytics, Electronic Engineering, Software Development and Technical Consulting.

You'll own and deliver on specific work packages, in a team based environment, giving you the chance to learn quickly about our clients business. Placement opportunities are varied, but could include any of the following:

* Supporting account management or operations teams, proactively identifying and implementing process improvements.
* Provide technical support on live projects, assisting technical architects and development teams
* Assisting in and preparing client workshops
* Using ASP, XML, DHTML, VBA to develop application upgrades for internal Detica projects, with an interest in designing web user interfaces

In all cases, you will be required to use your skills and make a real contribution to live project work. You will have your own mentor, who will regularly review your performance, ensuring you get the most out of the placement.

Qualifications

In our Placement Students we look for -

* Anticipated minimum 2.i (or equivalent) in a numerate or computer related degree. A or B at A-Level (or equivalent). A or B in GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
* Clearly able to demonstrate interest in Consulting as a career choice.
* Excellent presentation and communication skills.
* Analytical approach and a desire passion for problem solving.
* Ability to work effectively in a team.
* Commercial awareness.
* Ability to work with people from technical and business backgrounds.

N.B. Only those with the permanent and unrestricted right to live and work in the UK will be considered for a position at Detica.
