UA is proud to have over 5000 international students from more than 90 countries. UA is reasonably priced, and has accessible accommodation. The combination of UA's full-time equivalent academic staff, and advanced high-quality teaching and research makes UA one of Australia's best universities.

Ranked in the Top 100 universities in the world in the 2009 THES-QS World University Rankings, UA is located in the popular destination of Adelaide. Founded in 1836, Adelaide has a population of 1.3 million and is the center of the economic, cultural, political and social life of the state. It is an attractive well-planned city of wide streets and boulevards, squares, parklands and a mixture of historic and modern buildings. Adelaide's climate is Mediterranean, with warm, dry summers and cool winters. Adelaide hosts many cultural and sporting festivals throughout the year and there is much to do in the local area including swimming at nearby beaches, and hiking and exploring the towns, villages and wineries in the Mount Lofty Ranges adjacent to the city. Adelaide also makes an excellent base for exploring the natural beauty of Kangaroo Island and the Flinders Ranges.

  • Highlights

The International Student Center provides the opportunity for students to participate in a range of exciting tours. These tours give students a unique chance to explore Australia in a safe but adventurous environment in the company of other University of Adelaide students.

2010 tours include Kangaroo Island (2 days), the Outback (8 days), and the Great Ocean Road to Melbourne (4 days). There are also a number of popular day trips to the Adelaide Hills and the famous Barossa Valley wine region. Similar opportunities will be arranged in 2011.
