Cairns was beautiful -- as part of the AustraLearn orientation, I went up to the rainforest and took a little safari tour through, got to hold a koala and pet/feed kangaroos, saw a huge croc being fed. Then I went diving on the Great Barrier Reef which was the coolest thing I've ever done, but I was definitely scared the entire time. I'm not a huge fan of breathing underwater... the whole thing makes me nervous. The dive instructor for the group I was in held my hand almost the entire dive because I guess he could see how scared I was. But the reef was great - I saw a bunch of Nemo clown fish, HUGE giant...
