Visit the town of Stockholm, a place with a thousand year history and a beautiful mix of islands, bridges and water. Stockholm has lately become the target for the many Millenium- Stieg Larsson fans around the world traveling to Stockholm to walk in the footsteps of the characters of the famous trilogy. Yes, there are a number of organized Millenium walking tours.
We offer Bed and Breakfast in a private, cozy home just 10 miles west of the city of Stockholm. And less than 4 miles from the Stockholm International Fairs. A good and so much more interesting alternative to a cheap hotel. We offer three double and one single room. Extra beds available. Have a look at the rooms. Enjoy the benefits of a home-made breakfast adapted to your taste. When weather permits, served outdoors. Welcome!
From Arlanda Airport:
- By taxi
The driver should know the way (otherwise see "By car" just below). Do not forget to agree on the price before you enter the taxi. The major cab companies usually apply fixed prices, but there have been occurrences of heavily overpricing from some smaller companies. The full price (independent of the number of passengers) should not exceed 600 SEK (prices 2009). The cab companies Taxi Stockholm (note the yellow circular logo) and Taxi Kurir are recommended.
- By car E4 going South
45 km to central city, E4 south. Approaching the city, choose left lanes continuing E4 southward via city-center-detour-expressway (Essingeleden) with some nice city views to the left (i.e. east) along the way. After approx 15 km after the (first, short) tunnel, watch for exit BREDANG/MALARHOJDEN. (The preceeding exits are - in approaching order: 1) MIDSOMMARKRANSEN/SOLBERGA; 2) ALVSJO/VASTERTORP, do not use these exits.) Select right lane at exit BREDANG/MALARHOJDEN, take the right lane at next "fork" making a quarter of a full circle around the Preem gas/petrol station. You should then be at a crossroad with a traffic light. Continue with Local directions below.
Local directions
Continue straight on (ignoring the sign Malarhojden pointing to the right), starting a slight ascent (you should now be able to see a high, concrete TV-tower ahead). Approaching the end of the ascent, turn first right into Ugglemossvagen. Drive for 2 more minutes; after the 4th "bump" in the road, find the white house to your right. Look for the rose portal just at the gate of our house, Ugglemossvagen 19. You have arrived. Welcome!
