Description

This program is a two-week or month-long Spanish language and culture immersion program providing students with the opportunity to live with host families and practice their Spanish inside and outside the classroom. Classes will be held in the mornings, while the afternoons are filled with cultural activities and visits to local attractions. During the weekends, the group will explore the nature and beauty of Costa Rica on visits to beaches, cloud forests, jungles, and volcanoes, and will attend educational workshops on biodiversity.

Highlights

Costa Rica contains 13 national parks and six biological preserves where an amazing number of species of plants, animals, birds, and butterflies can be observed. Home to the Language and Culture Immersion program, San Joaquin de Flores is a charming, colorful and quaint colonial town located ten miles from the capital of San Jose, surrounded by the unparalleled beauty of Costa Rica.

Aspire by API is the high school and gap year division of Academic Programs International (API), an educational organization that has been sending university students abroad to study since 1997. Aspire by API is dedicated to providing comprehensive summer study abroad programs for high school students as well as gap year abroad programs for recent high school graduates. Our language and cultural immersion programs provide students with educational opportunities to learn and develop relevant global skills in an exciting, enriching, safe, and secure setting.
