The semester is organized by Kasetsart University, a state-owned world class university, which is regularly ranked in the top 5 among Thailand's 150 universities. This traditional university was formed in 1943.

The aim of the International Engineering Program is to deepen students' knowledge of engineering, Asian economy and culture in an international environment. Students also learn Thai and interact with local students and other exchange students. Students earn up to 20 US credits or 30 ECTS for a study abroad semester.
