More than 30 percent of ASU's freshmen graduate in the top 10 percent of their high school class and 57 percent in the top 25 percent. ASU ranks among the top in the nation in student entrepreneurs and one of the top 10 producers of Fulbright Scholars in the U.S. ASU is also home to 612 National Merit Scholars and 324 National Hispanic Scholars. Excellent Faculty
Since 2003, ASU has increased the number of high-level faculty members and experts on campus with the addition of 156 new award recipients, fellows or academy members, which include three Nobel laureates, 11 National Academy of Sciences members, eight American Academy of Arts and Sciences members, 91 Fulbright American Scholars, 25 Guggenheim Fellows and two members of the Royal Society. With a choice of four distinct campuses in the metro Phoenix area, ASU offers a personalized experience to immerse yourself in your studies and engage with community partners that provide internships, research and clinical practice. Journalism students learn in the heart of Arizona's media industry: Downtown Phoenix. Aviation management students have their own air field. Arizona State University's students come from every state in the U.S. and more than 120 countries each year to study in programs ranging from nursing to business, from engineering to communications. ASU students attend ASU at several campuses located throughout the metropolitan Phoenix area. ASU Main, the anchor campus, is located in Tempe. ASU West, offering upper-division and graduate studies, is located in northwest Phoenix. ASU East, the university's newest campus, offers technology and agricultural programs in the East Valley. ASU's Extended Campus offers courses through the ASU Downtown Center in central Phoenix and through other distance learning mechanisms.
