  • Description

The Diploma of Aviation (ATPL or Flight Instruction) takes students from zero flight experience to commercial pilots ready for employment in Aviation. Pilot training in New Zealand is sort after because of the various weather conditions and terrain students can encounter.

During the diploma, students will gain their Private Pilot Licence (NZPPL), Commercial Pilot Licence (NZCPL), Instrument Rating on single or multi engines (NZSEIR or NZMEIR). Then depending on which stream students want to undertake, they can complete their frozen NZATPL which is highly sort after by airlines or obtain their C-Cat Instructor Rating which enables them to build their hours quickly which teaching the next generation of pilots.

Training is completed in a Cessna 172 for PPL and CPL and then students move into a Beechcraft Duchess 76e for MEIR. We have a fleet of 20 aircraft and 30 instructors. The course goes for 15 - 18 months dependent on the weather, the students ability, and how often the student flies. Ardmore Flying School will arrange accommodation for international students during their training and help them integrate into the local culture and environment.
