Term
Summer
Looking for something to do abroad this summer? Do you want to earn academic credit while you do it? Then join up with Arcadia to participate in an eight-week program at England's University of Cambridge. The program allows qualified students to take three courses, each of which is focused on a lecture/seminar program. Some courses are concentrated into 4 weeks, while others run throughout the 8 weeks. You can expect to earn 9 semester hours of credit for the 8-week program. You will be able to choose from a wide range of courses including world literature, history, philosophy, economics, film, art history, behavioral ecology and much more. All courses are taught by British faculty and are "Cambridge" in style, content and standard.
Students will have the unique opportunity to experience the Cambridge tutorial or supervision system, in which an individual, or small group of students, works directly with a faculty member in weekly meetings, completing a series of research-based papers in their major subject area. This option would replace one course. It is both challenging and rewarding from an academic standpoint.
If you're looking to experience the intellectual rigor and unique academic approach experienced by Cambridge undergraduates during the academic year, the University of Cambridge Summer program, based at Pembroke College and King's College at Cambridge, is the right program for you.
Along with the Arcadia staff, teaching assistants and resident advisors at Cambridge play an integral role in helping students make the most of their experience, as well as organizing activities and events designed to enhance your understanding of British culture.
