Work with advisors from the Arcadia University College of Global Studies to create an incomparable experience that fits your interests and needs. Through the Sydney Semester Internship, you will have the opportunity to earn academic credit while working side-by-side with Australian professionals. You'll also participate in, and receive credit for, two academic courses.
Credits:
Courses may be selected among various departments. You will earn the following hours of credit.
* Fall and spring semester: 16 credits.
Admission Requirements:
GPA Requirements: 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale.
You must be in good academic standing and not on disciplinary probation. You need to submit a complete application including a transcript, letter of recommendation, an advisor's form, resume and a detailed statement of internship interest before your application will be considered.
Picture yourself working in Sydney, one of the world's most exciting cities. You can earn academic credit, enhance your professional knowledge, and improve practical skills through a placement in one of Sydney's leading public institutions or commercial enterprises.
The program combines coursework with a four-day a week unpaid internship, and an 8-day trip to The Kimberley in Northwest Australia. Your courses will be with other program participants, providing a learning community framework and an American perspective on your experience.
Housing
Outside of work, your accommodation will be in the center of Sydney providing plenty of opportunities to explore this amazing city.
