Fukuoka City, Japan
Fukuoka is a beautiful city on the island of Kyushu, in southern Japan. Enjoy the moderate climate, peaceful rivers, and colorful city life. It is a very modern city, and at the same time the home of some of the oldest festivals in the country.
The Classes
Your classes will be held at a nonprofit language school in the heart of Fukuoka. The class sizes are small (usually between 3 and 10 students), so you will have plenty of opportunities to participate. Your classmates will be international students from around the world. The program includes twenty hours of language classes per week.
Cultural Activities
On three afternoons per week, join cultural activities and local excursions to dive deeper into the Japanese language and culture! For example, you may experience a traditional tea ceremony, learn how to make soba noodles, visit a graphic design school to see the evolution of a new manga, or try out Japanese martial arts. Excursions may lead you to a Shinto shrine, a museum, or the landmark Fukuoka tower. If you want, you can add more activities and excursions for an additional fee.
Accommodations
A homestay with a local family is the best way gain authentic insights into the everyday life and culture of Japan. Breakfast and dinner are included.

Andeo (pronounced Ahn-DAY-oh) is not a word we took from another language or an acronym. Our name is a way of making communication between the people from different places and cultures in our network a little easier. No matter what your native tongue is, you won't find it difficult to talk about Andeo. Our name is a small, but important piece in our mission to foster cross-cultural friendship and understanding through homestay exchange programs.
