  • Description

Argentina is the second largest country in South America and borders Chile, Brazil, Uruguay, Bolivia and Paraguay. With an enormously varied climate, travelers can visit sub-Antarctic rainforests, tropical jungles, mountains, beaches, desert red canyons and awesome waterfalls. The population is almost all of European descent. Volunteer and Internship placements are offered in Buenos Aires and Cordoba.

Buenos Aires is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and offers an endless variety of things to do. However, among the high rises, chic shops and fabulous cultural offerings, there is a large portion of the about 13 million inhabitants that struggle daily to survive. You can do your bit by helping in a free dental clinic, in various daycare and after-school projects for at-risk youth, or at a re-integration project for ex-prisoners. Professional and Business Internships can be organized in almost every imaginable field.

You could also volunteer or intern in and around Cordoba, a university city of 1.5 million with an active nightlife and many colonial buildings. Its a good place to get to know Argentine life. Here you can work with toddlers, at-risk children, adolescents, women, the unemployed and the elderly. Those with a healthcare background can help out in clinics and hospitals. Cordoba also offers professional internships.

  • AmeriSpan Study Abroad's Mission Statement

Our mantra is "Every Language, Every Culture, Everywhere." AmeriSpan Study Abroad has over 15 years experience and over 30,000 past participants. Our staff has three passions: language, culture, and travel. Individually and as a group, we have accumulated experiences and knowledge related to these passions. AmeriSpan's staff has traveled to more than 65 countries, every continent except Antarctica, speak 10 languages, and we are happy to share this enormous amount of relevant knowledge with you. Every staff member has studied and/or lived abroad for extended periods of time. We are neither a language school nor a travel agent, we're a hybrid of the two: a language travel organization. AmeriSpan has evaluated hundreds of schools, host families and destinations to determine which programs to offer, and our independence allows us to give you unbiased evaluations of these programs. Our pledge to our participants is to make going abroad 'worry-free'. There is no risk in choosing an AmeriSpan program because you'll get the best program, best price and can cancel for any reason and get a full refund on every dollar we have received for your program.
