Description

Classes start any Monday and you choose the program length. Teens ages 14-17 are grouped in classes together. 20 hrs/wk of Spanish class in small groups. Private room and board with a Costa Rican family. Adult supervision is provided by the host family and the school staff in the form of curfew and parental waiver granting or denying independent weekend travel. This small country is a paradise for nature lovers with many national parks, jungles, volcanoes, beaches and more rivers and water per square mile than any other country in the world, excluding New Zealand. However, the small pre-Colombian Indigenous population was wiped out by diseases brought to the new world by the conquistadors.
