  • Highlights

Learning Spanish abroad in Bocas del Toro, Panama is one of many language immersion programs offered by AmeriSpan. This S-shaped country is the southernmost country in Central America, bordered on the west by Costa Rica and on the east by Colombia. Although Panama is often overlooked by tourists rushing to South America, the country has some interesting attractions, including the Panama Canal that connects the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. Panama also offers some of the finest birding, snorkeling, and deep-sea fishing in the Americas. In fact, the country's indigenous name translates to "abundance of fish."

    Learn Spanish Language in Panama:
Sometimes called the new Galapagos, Bocas del Toro is nothing short of a tropical paradise. Wildlife such as tropical birds, butterflies and red, yellow and orange frogs are abundant. Located on the southern tip of Isla Colon on the Northwest coast of Panama, this small fishing town is anything but sleepy. The most excitement comes when Bocas hosts the traditional Feria del Mar each year in late September/early October. The town is also a hub for cruises and ferries to nearby islands in the archipelago.

Our mantra is "Every Language, Every Culture, Everywhere." AmeriSpan Study Abroad has over 15 years experience and over 30,000 past participants. Our staff has three passions: language, culture, and travel. Individually and as a group, we have accumulated experiences and knowledge related to these passions. Every staff member has studied and/or lived abroad for extended periods of time. We are neither a language school nor a travel agent, we're a hybrid of the two: a language travel organization. AmeriSpan has evaluated hundreds of schools, host families and destinations to determine which programs to offer, and our independence allows us to give you unbiased evaluations of these programs. Our pledge to our participants is to make going abroad 'worry-free'. There is no risk in choosing an AmeriSpan program because you'll get the best program, best price and can cancel for any reason and get a full refund on every dollar we have received for your program.
