    Learning Spanish for Law Enforcement and Police Spanish means more than just learning to speak Spanish. It also means understanding Latin American culture. This is an important part of creating a successful and productive police force in today's society. Police must learn to read between the lines, understand the nuances of high-stress communication, and learn how to diffuse situations with competent and culturally sensitive Spanish language skills.

    With its proximity to San Jose, Costa Rica's active and lively capital, Heredia makes an excellent city to learn about law enforcement is Latin America. In the Spanish for Law Enforcement (Police Spanish) program in Heredia, students will take a combination of general Spanish in small group classes and mini-group or private classes that focus on relevant vocabulary and common expressions used on the job. Topics may include Officer's Daily Routine, Robbery, Citizen Security, Detective work, and more. Specific topics vary by level.
