The Rome summer study program that not only jump-starts your career path but takes you to 2700 years back in history. Rome is an Eternal City built on the grandeur of Classical history. It is almost impossible not to be in awe with the world's richest heritage of the Classical and cultural age.
With a population of more than four million, Rome is now a dynamic, modern city, with fascinating snapshots of history around every corner. Rome is also ideally positioned for exploring Italy, a country with one of Europe's richest pasts and some of its most beautiful scenery.
AIFS students spend four weeks in Rome taking courses taught in English in art history, art, communications, and history, plus Italian language. Courses are offered through Richmond, The American International University in London, a U.S.-accredited university.
AIFS program fees include the basics and the extras: tuition, housing, meals, London visit, excursions and cultural activities, airfare if selected, optional trip to Venice and more.
Spend 4 weeks in a 3000 year old city that is a unique encyclopedia of living heritage and culture. Visit ancient monuments such as the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, St Peter's Basilica and the Vatican Museums.
Earn up to 6 credits in Italian language or art, art history, communications, history or literature taught in English.
In your free time, attend the spectacular festivals, exhibits and events while you explore, discover and reflect on the magnificence of this amazing city. Getting around is easy as Rome has an excellent public transportation system.
Visit other parts of Italy on an included excursion to Florence and optional excursions to Pompeii, Vesuvius, Naples and Capri and Venice.
Travel on the Optional AIFS Flight Package and you will begin your trip with a 3-day excursion to London, England en route to campus.

Fee includes:
- Tuition up to 6 semester credits (subject to course selection)
- Housing in apartments or as a paying guest in a private home
- Meals vouchers to subsidize 7 breakfasts and 7 lunches (or dinners) per week to use at selected restaurants, cafés and food stores
- Cultural activities such as: visits to museums, art galleries and monuments, opera, jazz concerts, cooking and wine tasting classes
- Excursion to Florence (2 days)
- Comprehensive insurance and assistance package
- Services of a pre-departure Student Advisory Center and an on-site Resident Director
- Pre-departure handbook
Optional Components:
- AIFS Flight Package includes visit to London Round trip flights U.S.-London, London - Rome, Rome - U.S. and round trip transfers between the airport and campus overseas. The flight pack- age also includes a 3-day stopover in London on the way to campus.
