Take your summer study farther to South Africa! In Stellenbosch, you are in for exciting things like the impressive Jonkershoek, superb beaches, scenic mountains, and the year-round temperate climate. Your summer abroad will also expose you to Stellenbosch's beauty attributed to fabulous gardens, nature reserves, playing fields, parks, and other outdoor activities you can do.
AIFS students take 4 weeks of courses in English at Stellenbosch University in Service Learning, African studies, art, business, economics, geography, history, law, literature, political science, sociology, and viticulture.
AIFS program fees include the basics and the extras: tuition, housing, some meals, excursions and cultural activities, airfare if selected, 6-day Garden Route tour, visit to the Cederberg Mountains, and more.
Study in South Africa's second oldest city, 30 minutes from Cape Town. Live in this culturally rich University town surrounded by spectacular mountain ranges.
Attend courses with more than 400 international students from other African countries and around the world.
Earn up to 7 credits on one of two programs, a Traditional Program where you can choose from a range of courses taught in English or gain a greater understanding of the current challenges that South Africa faces on the Service Learning Program.
Take in more of the local culture on a vineyard and wine tasting tour and see the impressive sites of the South African coastline on a 6-day tour of the Garden Route. Depending on your course selection, enjoy day trips to Cape Town, Robben Island, Swellendam Mountains or the Cape of Good Hope.
