Study abroad in one of the world's prominent cities!
Live, travel, and study in Prague, the capital city of the Czech Republic that was built on near-surreal towns that have their own uniqueness. Explore in the city that is culturally rich that aspiring young American artists and writers gather; where jazz musicians would improvise in open air; and where the locals sip coffee in nouveau-rich cafes and party in clubs until dawn.
Earn up to 18 credits, beginning with an intensive Czech language course during orientation. Continue the semester with a variety of courses all taught in English.
Explore the castles and cathedrals of the Czech and Austro-Hungarian Empire, find out about the history of the Jewish ghetto in the Jewish Museum, discover Golden Lane where Kafka's house has been turned into a bookstore or visit the house where Mozart lived in 1787.
Explore more of Europe during your stay on an included excursion to Krakow, Poland. Travel on the Optional AIFS Flight Package and begin your trip with a 4-day excursion to London, England and Munich, Germany en route to Prague.
Long hidden behind the Iron Curtain, Prague, with its collection of Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance architecture, is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Students interested in international politics, economics or culture will find Prague a stimulating place in which to live and study. At Charles University AIFS students take courses in English in art history, economics, film studies, history, literature, music, political science, psychology, religion, sociology and theater, and Czech language.
The program fees include the basics and the extras: tuition, housing in a residence hall or apartment, a meal allowance, round trip flight if selected, cultural activities, an on-site Resident Director, and excursions.
