All our trips are balanced differently in regard to how much humanitarian work versus exploring the destination. We offer mini-mission type experiences to working the majority of the time on a trip. For example, in Kenya you will enjoy time on a safari but also immerse yourself in working with street children. In Jordan there are two full days working with abused children but still plenty of time visiting the Dead Sea, exploring Pedra - one of the Seven Wonders of the World, and much more.
Highlights of our programs are working with the children in either schools, orphanages, and community centers. However, the unique adventure opportunities that we also add to a program will be exploring in a very unique way.
No experience is necessary to join an Ambassadors for Children trip. You need to have the heart and passion to make a connection to children in developing countries. We do want to know if you have special skills, talents, or interests that we could utilize with our global partners. All ages are also welcome.

An Ambassadors for Children volunteer can be of any age. The individuals are usually wanting to travel differently and truly experience the destination and people in a more real way. They are flexible and open to new experiences. We have singles traveling by themselves and couples; high school and college students during spring break trips; families traveling more in the summer. We welcome to customize a group of 15-20 people to any one of our 18 destinations.

Ambassadors for Children is an international non-profit that offers short-term humanitarian trips and sustainable projects around the world to serve children. We are currently working in 18 countries. Ambassadors for Children trips provide hands-on interaction with disadvantaged children, balanced by opportunities for sightseeing and immersion in the native culture of the community served. AFC provides the opportunity for individuals, families, school/university groups and other organizations to personally help children in the United States and internationally. In addition to the cultural benefits of the program, AFC donates and delivers specifically requested goods and services to the children by collaborating with local organizations.
