Situated at the 4,000 foot elevation, escape the heat and crowds of the fast paced city life and enjoy the quiet lush tropical rainforest. Explore the numerous craters from past eruptions, lava deserts, endless hiking trails, discover lava tubes and tree molds from ancient lava flows. We are very close to ACTIVE LAVA FLOWS you can drive and walk right up to!
One can visit waterfalls and botanical gardens on the way to Waipio Valley, just a short drive North of Hilo's shopping and restaurants, Kapoho's tide pools and hot ponds, South Point's black and green sand beaches, and 13,500' Mauna Kea Observatories, Aloha Place is an excellent choice to stay while touring all of East Hawaii. Directions to Aloha Place- Inn of Volcano from Hilo:
Travel from Hilo on Highway #11 to Volcano; 40 minutes driving time. After the 26 mile marker turn right onto Pearl Avenue and proceed a short distance to the stop sign and then turn right onto Old Volcano Road. It is the first driveway on your left with large stone pillars and our sign indicating Aloha Place- Inn of Volcano. Our address is 19-3870 Old Volcano Road. Once you arrive follow the signs to the office or go directly to the front entrance.Directions to Aloha Place- Inn of Volcano from Kona:
