  • Description

Six days a week our volunteers are going out into the community here in CDO and helping to provide local families with a place to live. Join them in helping homeowners to remove the mud and debris swept into their properties by the flood waters that covered the area after Typhoon Sendong. Or head out with our construction teams and assist with a program that aims to provide 6000 new permanent homes for those made homeless by this disaster. You may also find yourself putting up tents so that families can leave overcrowded evacuation centers, installing sanitation facilities in a relocation camp or rafting the local rapids with your fellow volunteers on your day off!

  • Highlights

Living in a small community, you'll get the chance to experience this fascinating part of the world from a unique perspective. You'll be off the tourist trail, working with both local people and a great group of international volunteers to muck, gut and rebuild CDO and surrounding areas. The work can be hard and hot and sweaty but it is full of its own rewards - there's nothing like coming home from a day in the field covered head-to-foot in mud, knowing that one family is that much closer to being able to go back home.
