6 Week summer program

AMHSI offers 6 week summer sessions for individuals who want to experience Israel during the summer. AMHSI Summer participants don't just get a tour guide  they get a passionate and expert teacher to lead and guide them chronologically through the history of Israel. The shorter summer sessions offer the same historical and cultural benefits as the 8-week program. Summer session participants are eligible to receive 6 college credits.

Whether hiking where King Saul battled the Philistines or following in the footsteps of Ben Gurion, AMHSI Summer session participants learn in a classroom without walls, live 4000 years of history and love Israel in an adventure that is unlike any other. As in all AMHSI programs, summer participants experience history for themselves in an exciting and memorable way as they learn in a classroom, at a beach, atop a mountain, and all across Israel.

8 Week Mini-Semester in Hod HaSharon

The 8 week session is Alexander Muss' flagship program  and for good reason! It is a high school unlike any other, where college preparatory skills are gained and education is imparted through experience and history is infused into daily activities. In Israel, the "classroom" is the land itself, as you travel to the places where history was made.

AMHSI participants learn about their heritage and about themselves and come back with a deeper understanding and awareness of who they are. While learning about Israel through first-hand experience and enjoying all Israel has to offer, students keep up with classes from their home schools. Highly qualified teachers, experienced in teaching all levels including AP and IB, are responsible for making sure that students complete their individual assignments sent by the home schools. As on all AMHSI sessions, participants can earn 6 college credits.

4 Month Semester in the Negev

AMHSI is offering - for the first time - a full semester program! We are delighted to invite you to our new, in-depth, 4-month adventure in Israel, based at our brand new campus at the Eshel HaNassi youth village just outside Beersheva. The semester program has the same accreditation as our other programs and eligible students may also receive 6 college credits.

Experience the grandeur of the desert as you live in an ecologically friendly youth village where the dream of the desert blooming turns into reality. Be a Zionist pioneer on a student-run farm. Broadcast your own radio program on the student-run radio station.
Do all this and more while staying in a brand new luxurious facility near the bustling capital of the Negev.

During the 4 month semester program participants will learn the AMHSI Core Curriculum with the added opportunities of learning Hebrew, experiencing a week of army basic training (Gadna), taking part in a 3 day hike across Israel from the Mediterranean Sea to the Sea of Galilee (Yam le Yam), and taking a significant trip to Poland where the message of the Holocaust is learned firsthand. Join us for the experience of a lifetime as we embark on a semester long journey into the history of the Jewish people.

Program Fees Include:

The tuition for an unforgettable AMHSI experience includes:
- The complete academic program
- All field trips, entrance fees, and ground transportation

- Campus Services fee - this covers books and materials, on-campus health care, internet access, student dorm activities, student banking account set-up, and laundry services

For the 8 week session the fee also includes up to 2 General Studies courses.

For the semester program the fee includes:
- Flights to and from Poland
- All accommodation and meals while in Poland
- Participation in Gadna Program

Alexander Muss High School in Israel's Mission Statement

The Alexander Muss High School in Israel Program, known as HSI or AMHSI, is the only non-denominational, co-educational English language study abroad program for high school students in Israel. AMHSI was founded in 1972 and boasts over 20,000 alumni. AMHSI aims to provide teens the opportunity to spend part of the academic high school year or summer in Israel during their sophomore, junior or senior year.
