Diversity is of the up most importance and we value the unique experiences our International Students and Domestic Students Abroad contribute to our learning environment. We welcome any of your international students and/or Domestic Students Abroad to apply to our institution. In order for an international student to be eligible, they must meet the following minimum admissions requirements. This includes at least one of the following: a paper based TOEFL score of 550, an Internet Based TOEFL score of 79, an IELTS test score of 6.5 or higher or ELS completion of Course 112. In addition, Albion College will accept an ACT score of 21 or higher or a SAT score of 970 and above in lieu of language testing. Please note that the Critical Reading section needs to meet a minimum score of 450. Citizens of Australia, UK or Canada do not have to take the language examination but must take the ACT or SAT test to be eligible for admission.
As for cumulative grade point average, we are looking for a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or 80% out of 100% on a percentage scale. Albion College also recognizes the strength and diversity of the International Baccalaureate Program. Students will receive one unit (4 semester hours) of credit for higher level passes with a score of 5 or more. In addition to an Albion College International Student Application or Common Application, we require certified translations of their academic records (if applicable), two letters of recommendation and an Albion College or College Board Statement of Financial support.
Please keep in mind that Albion College offers scholarships of up to USD 20,000 a year for international students who meet the minimum requirements for admission. That is equivalent to almost half the cost of tuition, room and board. Last year we awarded an average of USD 16,000 per year in assistance. Every international student will receive some financial assistance.
