Aldiwan Center provides total immersion programs (using Arabic as the only language of instruction and communication in and out of class). Curriculum and instruction complies with ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages) standards and guidelines. Aldiwan Center has been approved by many leading universities and by U.S. Fulbright Program as a certificate-granting institute of Arabic for its Critical Language Enhancement Award recipients and study abroad grantees. Student services include: Free Pre-Arrival Hotel Room Reservation, Free Apartment Search Assistance (we do not charge for assistance work, but local agents charge their own fees), and Paid Cairo Airport Pick-up service. Along with the mentioned summer main tracks, students can also apply for a wide range of Arabic for Special Purpose programs, including but not limited to Arabic for Professionals in: diplomatic, media, medical, and banking fields; and Arabic for Executive Managers and Directors with a specially designed curriculum for each program.
Description of the volunteer position:
We arrange with a network of Egyptian well-established charities and NGOs to provide volunteer work positions for our students who wish to volunteer during their study period. Successful past volunteering opportunities have been offered to students of Duke University (USA) and other universities.

1- Modern Standard Arabic (MSA, Fuss'ha):
Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced stages in 18 levels covering all aspects of conversation,- ,grammar,- ,writing,- ,and literature of the Arabic language in its modern standard usage.
2- Egyptian Colloquial Arabic (ECA, Ammiyya):
Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced stages in 6 levels, covering all aspects of conversation,- ,grammar,- ,writing,- ,and literature of the Egyptian dialect of Cairo.
3- Combined MSA and ECA Program:
Combines both Modern Standard Arabic and Egyptian Colloquial Arabic in one summer intensive course.

To introduce Arabic to non-native speakers of all ages and cultural groups. To achieve this goal, we emphasize training, method, and curricula development facilitated through the use of instructional aids. To train Arabic teachers, assisting them in becoming specialists in the field of teaching Arabic as a foreign language To facilitate dialogue and cooperation between existing institutes of language learning, working towards the improvement of teaching Arabic as a foreign language. To apply our research to the important project of producing and authoring valuable texts, designed specifically for teaching non-native speakers Arabic.
