You can also volunteer as a tourist. Volunteer opportunities in Africa are really becoming more interesting with the rise of Voluntourism. Many tourists who are visiting Africa now wish to spend some of their vacation in a more enriching way: by helping local communities or being involved in conservation efforts. Volunteer Teachers
This project is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to work as volunteer teachers. It requires an excellent command of the English language. Generally we would like them to participate in different sports activities e.g. football, netball, cricket and anything interesting a volunteer wishes to teach the kids. Different drawings especially from their feelings and useful for their level. Volunteers can also teach the kids other drawings and sketches.

Adult Teaching: The ccm Community in Pangani is open to anybody and is free of charge to anyone. It is from age 7 to age 35. The students learn English at Gombero school. Volunteers are teaching adults.

Qualifications

Volunteer your skills and yourself work with local people and experience another culture like never before. As a volunteer with Africulture you are making an important contribution through working together with the local community and sharing in achieving its goals. What are we looking for at Africulture? We are looking for passionate people who want to make a difference in the Pangani District and the Kikokwe village. English is required, also a willingness to learn Swahili is expected in order to better interact socially with the community. Translators will be available as required during the period of service. It's obvious that people are eager to learn what is within their age limit. Some of what they want to learn are within our plans and others are within their guardian's plans.
