  • Description

You start your project with nearly three weeks of Spanish language lessons. At Pacuare, working under the direction of marine biologists, you will spend two weeks on beach patrol monitoring the great Leatherbacks, as they come ashore nightly to lay their eggs.

There is a period of independent travel which will give you about three weeks to explore Costa Rica and Latin America with 24 hour in-country support from our local representative.

  • Highlights

Marine and rainforest conservation combined with some great activities! Experience Costa Rican city life, tranquil Caribbean beaches, turtle protection and travel all in one project!

  • Qualifications

Volunteers do not need qualifications: they must be able to speak English, be enthusiastic, adaptable, committed and resilient (and have a sense of humor!). A basic knowledge of Spanish would also be useful.
