Description

After a one week induction course covering safety, security, teaching techniques and Nepali language lessons, volunteers will spend 3 months living and working within the local communities of Kalimpong or Mirik in the Darjeeling District of North-East India. A wonderfully unique experience for cultural exchange - learning about the traditions, language, cooking, songs, and dancing of the loccal people. Spend approximately 15-20 lessons per week teaching English to local children in primary education, whilst living in groups of 4-6.

The project is finished off with an optional additional four weeks of independent travel and the chance to explore more of India or venture to Nepal for trekking - all with 24 hour in-country support from our representative.
