Projects start with a one week induction course covering safety, security, teaching techniques and Nepali language lessons, followed by 3 months living and working in rural Nepal, in the Besisahar and Gorkha regions. A wonderfully unique experience for cultural exchange - learning about the traditions, language, cooking, songs, and dancing of the local people. Spend approximately 20 lessons per week teaching English to local children and learning about local history in return.
The project is finished off with an optional additional four weeks of independent travel and the chance to explore more of Nepal, do some trekking or venture into India - all with 24 hour in-country back up and support from our representative.
A unique opportunity to see an amazing community and to completely immerse into their way of life, away from the Western world. A truly life-changing experience.
Volunteers must be able to speak English, be enthusiastic, adaptable, committed and resilient (and have a sense of humor!).
