  • Description

This program combines 4 weeks travel and 4-8 weeks voluntary work. Adventure is constantly all around you in this vast country with more than one billion people. You will experience a bombardment of senses that cannot be accommodated at the first meeting. An impressive wealth and an incomprehensible poverty appear before your eyes on your trip around the country. A culture shock is not available greater or better. The majesty of the Himalayan mountains and beauty is replaced with the colorful ocean of people in the million cities. Get a history lesson by the gorgeous Taj Mahal to the Rajasthan princely castles and 1001 night stories.

The big tour takes you from Delhi and its 10 million inhabitants to the Himalayas and yoga city of Rishikesh by the holy river Ganges. Experience Indian yoga and river rafting on the river a great experience. Be on top of scenic Manali and then accommodation with local families. Back to Delhi and on to the city of Agra with one of the world wonders, sepulchral monument Taj Mahal, which etches itself onto the retina forever. Sightseeing and exploring the pink city of Jaipur, in the princely state of Rajasthan. A city filled with history, palaces, castles and shopping opportunities of the majors. Enjoy wonderful Indian food in your Indian host family. Calm descends a bit, once you get to the white city of Udaipur where you are volunteering. Sensory impressions continue among camels, elephants and monkeys in the desert state adventure towns.

The voluntary work takes place in a small village close to Udaipur in Rajasthan. You get your hands full during the eight weeks. You will be participating in a NGO project where the schools have great need for education. A good educational background is a solid foundation for teaching and helping in the small villages. Your assistance would not only ease the over worked teachers but it would also add to the educational experience of the children. Teaching provides you with an opportunity to develop your skills in a very different environment.
