Commenced trading in early January 2004 as "Adelaide's Shakespeare Backpackers International Hostel”. Everyone knows us as "SHAKEYS".
In May 2001, we came up with the brilliant idea to open a backpackers hostel in the heart of Adelaide City after lengthy consultation with company director, Dan. With little persuasion, other members of the extended family decided to invest in the venture.2 yrs later Dan decided to use all his free time plus blood sweat and tears to establish the second hostel. An instant success, he managed to get together a bunch of hard working people to manage it and we havent looked back.

Located at Level 123 Waymouth Street, Adelaide. In the heart of the Backpacker District in Adelaide CBD. Stones-throw from University of South Australia, Central Bus Station, Chinatown, Central Markets, Hindley Street, Convention Centre, Light Square Pubs and Clubs.

- This is on the WESTERN side of Adelaide's main street (King William Street) in the direction of West Terrace.... THEN ...
- proceed 300 Metres in Westerly direction, (just before entering Light Square)
- on the left hand side, Corner of Canon and Waymouth Street,
