Adams State has entered a new era of growth, recording an all-time high enrollment of 3,701 in fall 2011. The campus has been transformed, with USD 65 million worth of improvements nearly complete. Founded in 1921 as a teachers' college, Adams State is now a comprehensive liberal arts college offering 16 undergraduate majors with 28 minors and emphases, as well as 8 master's degree programs - most offered online. New academic programs are developed to address student and societal need.
