Ace Hotel & Swim Club is a 180 room hotel, spa & resort located in Palm Springs, CA. It's on the grounds of a renovated mid-century modern motel, within walking distance of downtown. It's close to cool stuff like Joshua Tree, the Salton Sea and all kinds of historic desert modern architecture. It also happens to be the best place in Palm Springs to get a laid-back massage or natural spa treatment.

There are outdoor spa services. There is room service, free wi-fi and a gym. You can bring your dog. There's a big, cool event space where you can get married or throw a party or have a big-deal meeting.

There are a lot of earth-friendly and sustainable elements, like recycled materials, low VOC paints and vintage furniture. The design is organic and bohemian. Some rooms have a garden patio and some have a fireplace. There are also communal fireplaces located throughout the hotel. There's good-smelling shampoo from Rudy's Barbershop. There are minibars with really addictive cheese popcorn.

John Richards and Amy Lindsey Richards of Pair Music collaborated with Ace Hotel to curate super amazing music for the lobby and poolside. John Richards hosts KEXP radio's Morning Show and is a huge supporter of new music, giving great up-and-coming artists crucial exposure to audiences in Seattle, NYC and over the internet. For Ace, he chose mixes of brand-new and familiar music, like blues and African funk and indie pop and Johnny Cash.

You can come for a spa party or mellow retreat. On Sundays there's a DJ scene at the pool. Almost every night there's something going on at the Amigo Room bar - live music, DJs, bingo, karaoke and the occasional special event. And it's open late. We also throw parties with live music and DJs during Coachella, Pride, White Party and Dinah Shore. Just sayin'.
