Description

Spend the Summer in Florence with El Camino College and ACCENT. Florence becomes an extension of your classroom as you explore Florentine cathedrals, monuments, churches, museums and galleries while attending language, culture and communications classes with visiting faculty. Participants on the Summer in Florence Program live in student apartments located throughout the city. The ACCENT Florence Center also provides support and guidance to students on each of its programs.

Highlights

Cultural learning is an integral part of the program. Guided visits of many museums and historical sites are included in the program, and students participate in cultural activities that include two one-day excursions to Siena/San Gimignano and Cortona/Montepulciano, one twoday/one-night excursion to Venice and one three-day/two-night excursion to Rome. Excursions include transportation, entries, guides and accommodations (where applicable). Excursions are chosen based on the academic curriculum and are subject to change.

* Double room in a shared student apartment in Florence, double/triple/quad rooms on Venice and Rome excursions

* One two-day/one-night excursion to Venice including transportation, accommodations, entries and guided visits
* One three-day/two-night excursion to Rome including transportation, accommodations and guided visits
* Overseas orientation program, with a guided walking tour of Florence
* Overseas information and resource center with ACCENT Florence on-site staff
* Transfers from and to the Italian airport for group flight participants and those non-group flight participants able to meet the group transfer
