Spend the Spring Semester in Florence with Sierra College and ACCENT. Florence becomes an extension of your classroom as you explore Italian cathedrals, monuments, churches, museums and galleries. You will attend Italian language courses with local faculty and History, Anthropology and Social Sciences classes with visiting faculty.
Participants on the Semester in Florence program live in student apartments located throughout the city of Florence or in homestays (with a supplement). Participants will have the opportunity to attend cultural events and optional excursions as well as social activities organized by the ACCENT Florence Center staff. The ACCENT Florence Center also provides support and guidance to students on each of its programs.
Cultural learning is an integral part of the Semester in Florence program. Participants attend on-site lectures at museums and historical sites within each of the cities. In addition, participants have the opportunity to attend an optional day excursion outside of Florence to a location such as Siena or Assisi as well as an optional three-day/two-night excursion to Venice. More information on optional excursions will be
available at the overseas orientation.
