  • Description

The Taiwan International Graduate Program is pleased to invite applications to the International Internship Program (TIGP-IIP). The TIGP is a unique all-English Ph.D. program supported by Academia Sinica, Taiwan's most prestigious research institution. In collaboration with top-ranking local research universities the TIGP would like to invite young talents from around the globe to experience Taiwan's top-notch scientific research facilities and to jointly build up an intellectual network for people with different ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Over a two-months period, the TIGP-IIP is offering up to 60 internship opportunities in nine Ph.D. programs:

    1. Chemical Biology and Molecular Biophysics
    2. Molecular Science and Technology
    3. Molecular and Biological Agricultural Sciences
    4. Bioinformatics
    5. Molecular and Cell Biology
    6. Nano Science and Technology
    7. Molecular Medicine
    8. Earth System Science
    9. Biodiversity

Launched in 2009, the TIGP-IIP is an intensive pre-doctoral research training program that prepares its participating interns with necessary knowledge and skills for future research or career development through rigorous hands-on training.

The standard program offers two month training (July-August), which on special arrangements/request by the individual host, can be extended or adjusted. Ideally, the qualified interns will be hosted by one of our best scientists of the applicant's choices. At the end of the internship, interns are required to submit a report and/or give a presentation about their research projects. Upon successful completion of the project, an evaluation report will be filed by the host scientist, which may later serve as a supportive document towards application for admission to TIGP.
