  • Description

This hostel was established in the year 2003. By the basic conception of the place was to make an accomodation for backpackers which is more like a home than a rigid place to stay. The hostel itself is a spacious apartment with all the facilities that you can get in bigger hostels as well. 24hr hot showers, fresh and clean linen, no curfew of lock-out, free and fast Internet access, fully equipped kitchen to use, friendly staff with all the information you need...

... and why are we called Aboriginal hostel?

I bet it sounds strange hearing about an Aboriginal hostel in Budapest, over fifteen thousand kilometres from the nearest Aboriginal. We still refer to this name as we truly believe in one common thing:

    The Walkabout.

It’s a tradition between these nomads as an initiation, that you have to leave the tribe for a spiritual journey where you can learn about other cultures, learn how to navigate in the outback, search for water, hunt for your food, and meanwhile you become fully independent from your environment. Sounds familiar?

Yes, this is exactly what backpacking is all about.

So feel free to join our tribe during your own journey and stay with fellow nomad backpackers in our beautiful city of Budapest, where we are willing to provide you a very unique experience.

Come and check out our easygoing lifestyle here at the Aboriginal!
