The A&O Nurnberg Hauptbahnhof will provide ca. 500 beds in hostel and hotel; a top address for price-conscious city tourists, amateur historians, visitors to the Christkindl market, school groups and indeed, all our other guests here in Nuremberg.

The completely refurbished building is located only a few metres away from Nuremberg’s main station and will offer you a choice between the classic single, double and family rooms in the hotel area and multiple-bed rooms in the hostel section. But whether hotel or hostel: shower/WC and television are now part of the A&O standard in all rooms.

The A&O Nuremberg will also be an attractive place to stay for groups: seminar and conference rooms are being created as well as a “teachers’ lounge”, the already popular opportunity for group leaders and teachers to relax and work in peace.

No one will find too much time on their hands, as Nuremberg offers innumerable many sights including more than 30 museums with contemporary exhibitions. Among the highlights are surely the Germanisches Nationalmuseum, Albrecht Durer’s House, and the Documentation Centre Nazi Party Rally Grounds.

The delightful mediaeval city is characterized by Nuremberg’s landmark, the majestic Kaiserburg. The picture is completed by romantic timber-framed houses, a 5-kilometre-long city wall dating from the 15th/16th centuries, and the market square - Hauptmarkt, where you will find the famous Church of Our Lady and the fountain "Schoner Brunnen".

In December it will be cosy as well as romantic, for it is then that Nuremberg plays host to the world-famous Christkindl market.

By car...

From East:
Coming from the A44 motorway you need to change at junction Dortmund/Unna to B1. Go straight on for about 9 km. Turn right to the street Vosskuhle, later Im Defdahl and Von-der-Goltz-Strabe. After 1,5 km change to Kaiserstrabe, later Hamburger Strabe. After 1 km turn right to Schwanenwall and go straight on for about 800 m. You will see the hotel on the left side.

From North:
Leave the motorway A2 at junction Dortmund-Nordost, direction to Schwerte and take the B236. Go straight on for about 6 km and exit the B234 to direction Dortmund Brackel and take the driveway. Go straight on for about 300 m and turn right to Brackelerstrabe. Then you have to go straight on for approximately 3 km. Turn right from the Brackelerstrabe to Borsigplatz. At the roundabout you take the fifth exit to Oesterholzstrabe, later Weibenburger Strabe. Follow the road and after 1,6 km you turn right to Schwanenwall. The A&O Dortmund is located after about 500 m on the left.

From South:
Leave motorway A45 at Dortmund-Sud, direction Dortmund and go to the B54. Go straight on to Ruhrwaldstrabe. Drive about 4 km on this street, later Ruhrallee. And then after 4 km on the Ruhrallee you have to turn right to Ostwall. Follow the road for approximately 1,5 km, until you see the hotel on the left side.

From West:
Change at motorway junction Dortmund-West from the A40 to the B1, direction to Dortmund. Follow the street for approximately 6 km and change to B54. After 1 km turn left to Sudwall. Then follow this street for approximately 1,8 km, until you see the A&O Dortmund on the right side.

By train...

From central station:
Leave the main station through the main exit. Go left and follow the road for about 300 m. The hotel is on the opposite side.

By plane...

From the airport:
Take the Airport Express. The Airport Express is a bus which will drive you within 20 minutes directly to the main train station.
