"Moin Moin!“ This is how people greet each other in the Free Hanseatic City of Hamburg - and not only in the mornings. From the main train station our new flagship A&O Hamburg Hauptbahnhof can be reached within 10 minutes by foot. In an old Kontorhaus, a former depot for goods from all over the world, you now sleep in modern equipped single, double or multi-bedded rooms. A&O Hamburg Hauptbahnhof is the perfect starting point for your discovery trips through Hamburg: Speicherstadt with the new hip city district "Hafencity", offering a fantastic view over the harbour, is within walking distance. Hamburg’s shopping paradise, extending from Monckebergstrabe through the pedestrian precincts down to the Inner Alster, is also just around the corner.

And even in our house there is a large offer of activities.With WiFi accessible in all rooms and internet access at our terminals in the lobby, the experiences made in the city can be shared with friends and family, plans for the next exploration tour can be made and later on organize at the reception. Our multilingual and competent staff will be happy to help you planning your tours. Our leisure corner with billiards, table soccer and a Nintendo Wii offers activity and relaxation, and some legendary parties have already been celebrated in our party cellar. Beverages and snacks can be tasted at our bar at reasonable prices, so that nothing will prevent you from enjoying a relaxed evening.

By car...

From East and North:
Follow the motorway A24 to 1st end. Take the 2nd exit on to Sievekingsallee heading towards Elbbrucken / Zentrum. Keep right and drive ahead on to Burgerweide. After about 1.5 km turn right into Spaldingstrasse. Keep always right until Deichtorplatz. Circle around Deichtorplatz (u-turn, but do not drive into the tunnel), you will automatically be directed on to Amsinckstrasse - keep right. Turn right on to Hogerdamm and then directly left into Amsinckstrasse again. The A&O Hamburg Hauptbahnhof is located on the right side.

From North:
Drive from the interchange Hamburg-Nordwest to exit Hamburg-Stellingen. Leave the motorway and turn right in to Kieler Strasse. At the end (ca. 4.5 km) turn left in to Stresemannstrasse. Follow this road about 5 km until Deichtorplatz. Cross Deichtorplatz you will automatically be directed on to Amsinckstrasse - keep right. Turn right on to Hogerdamm and then directly left into Amsinckstrasse again. The A&O Hamburg Hauptbahnhof is located on the right side.

From West and South:
Change at the junction Hamburg-Sud from the motorway A1 to motorway A255. At the end drive across the Neue Elbbrucke. After about 1 km turn left in to Amsinckstrasse. Keep always right until Deichtorplatz. Circle around Deichtorplatz (u-turn, but do not drive into the tunnel), you will automatically be directed on to Amsinckstrasse - keep right. Turn right on to Hogerdamm and then directly left into Amsinckstrasse again. The A&O Hamburg Hauptbahnhof is located on the right side.

By bus / train...

From central station (ca. 450m):
Leave the central station at the exit "Spitaler Strabe" and walk left until "Deichtorplatz / Deichtorhallen". Cross the street (important!) and turn left walking under the bridge. After the bridge you can see A&O Hamburg Hauptbahnhof on the other side of the street.

From central coach terminal:
Turn left into the Steindamm. At the end turn right in to Kurt-Schumacher-Allee / Altmannbrücke. Then go left in to Munzstrasse. Take the first street right, Huhnerposten, and straight on in to Schultzweg. At the end you can the see the A&O Hamburg Hauptbanhof across the street. Walk to the left to the traffic lights to cross the street.
