Our volunteer projects in the Philippines are based in the Visayan Islands. Programs are available in Tacloban City and the surrounding rural towns; and also on Olango Island. Volunteers work in local orphanages, teach English in primary schools, support street children at a community shelter, work in medical clinics and help support environments and conservation projects on the islands.
Placements are available year round. There is no official start dates. Programs are customized for each participant. Project lengths vary from one week to two months. The work week is Monday-Friday 40 hours per week. Volunteers have evenings and weekend free to explore the towns, the local beaches and wonderful culture of the Philippines. Our projects are not based in typical tourist areas, so volunteers can gain a true sense of real life in a small community setting.
