Study and Service Programs in Kenya Amid the Crisis
Jacksonville, FL - January 13, 2008 - Kenya is facing tough times from chaos brought about by the recent political crisis. While the situation has somewhat improved since the violence erupted almost three weeks ago, negotiations are strongly urged by the international community, thousands of refugees await aid, business and tourism have been decimated, and operations of some volunteer, study, and adventure programs have been affected.
When it comes to running service and educational programs in Kenya amid the current situation, different organizations have different responses. While some deem it best to postpone programs, others are doing their best to continue their operations uninterrupted.
