High School Study Abroad in Thailand

It wouldn't be an adventure without exciting destinations. We have some great places for teen community service trips, but it's up to you to choose which one is best for you.

We welcome approaches from potential partners – schools, orphanages, hospitals and so on – from across the developing world; wherever they are or whatever they do, we will try to meet their needs. And we welcome ideas from potential volunteers too; if a volunteer has an idea for a new program or destination, we will do everything we can to enable them to work in their own way.

Experiencing Thailand firsthand will open your eyes to the multiculturalism of Southeast Asia and to a way of life that is as connected to the modern world as it is rooted in tradition.

Rustic Pathways programs are more than simple touring adventures in the world’s most exotic locations. Many of our trips involve gaining real life skills that challenge students to grow and learn as they travel.

This Experiment in International Living Thailand program provides a combination of home stays, volunteering, language immersion, and rainforest trekking into one unforgettable trip. Teenage program participants stay in the city of Chiang Mai, and leave Thailand with a well-rounded understanding of Thai people and way of life.

Visit Thailand on a Where There Be Dragons summer program for high school students. Upon reaching Thailand, students soak in the local culture by experiencing a variety of local foods at the bustling Thai markets. Students continue their journey through Thailand through jungle treks to rural villages, home stay accommodation, and Thai language lessons.

We have a number of educational programs including a Student Exchange Program, Summer Camps, a Work and Travel program, an Au Pair program and the English Teaching program which we are currently working over 120 teachers all over Thailand. All our programs have been approved and are run in cooperation with the Ministry of Education - Thailand.
