bluebalu: Living in Hong Kong
This week’s featured blog, bluebalu: Living in Hong Kong, comes from bluebalu – an avid travel blogger and self-confessed foodie. This blog documents her experiences living in Hong Kong and traveling, mainly through Asia but also across Europe and America. Bluebalu moved to Hong Kong in January 2011 to work at a global PR agency, coordinating international accounts – and when she isn’t working, she notes that she can be found “eating, reading, taking photos or blogging.” If you have ever been interested in living and working abroad, bluebalu’s experiences are a resource not to be missed!
Why We Love It
Bluebalu has been blogging regularly for almost one and a half years now – and the variety of posts on her blog – from what it’s like living in Hong Kong to restaurant reviews from all the places she’s visited– bluebalu: Living in Hong Kong will have you returning again and again to see what advice or information she’ll offer next. This blog is also unique in how it combines Eastern experiences with bluebalu’s own Western culture (she originally hails from Europe). As mentioned before, bluebalu is also a food lover – hence the food and drink reviews on the blog. In addition to this, she is an avid reader, and manages international PR campaigns as part of her career in tech PR.
Bluebalu notes on the blog that it “is meant to be a way to keep in touch with my friends, family, colleagues, former class-/flat-/house-/podmates and share my experiences with them….It is also a way of sharing details about how I moved to Hong Kong, the different challenges/obstacles I faced, what I love about Hong Kong and just general experiences of living in Asia – and clearly that’s for everyone, who is interested in reading my blog.” We couldn’t agree more with her and hope that you’ll also check out this blog for more interesting posts and updates.
