Oneika The Traveller
Oneika The Traveller is the creation of Oneika Raymond – “a gal in her late twenties who has an intense passion for travel, culture, and language.” Oneika has been to over 40 countries and is always on the verge of planning her next trip. Her blog features a wide variety of her travel adventures, as well as her unique perspective on how she sees the world! While Oneika has noted that she has travelled to her heart’s content, her itchy feet tend to act up and she can most recently be found in South America, exploring Peru and Bolivia. As Oneika herself says, “There’s something about the culture [of Latin America], the people, and the language that stirs me, that brightens my mood, that lights my fire.”
Why We Love It
Whether it’s travel tips or learning about the cultural roots of her name, Oneika’s blog provides a wealth of interesting resources. Her diverse experiences with travel also make Oneika The Traveller a place to learn about more than one type of meaningful travel. From working as an English Literature and French teacher at a international high school in Hong Kong, to participating in an English teaching assistant program in France, Oneika’s international adventures are a source of inspiration to other world travelers–and world traveler hopefuls!
We also love that Oneika considers herself an aspiring polyglot, who speaks French fluently, intermediate-level Spanish, and knows about five words of German (so far!). Check out Oneika the Traveller for even more posts and updates from Oneika, and explore GoAbroad.com for all your teach abroad opportunities!
Every week GoAbroad features an abroad-related blog as our selection for Blog of the Week. The featured blog has been chosen because it features interesting and well-written abroad or travel-related experiences.
