Sun[Shine] and Stilettos

Sun[Shine] and Stilettos is the creation of Lily Girma, a lawyer by trade turned travel photographer and writer, who appreciates anything to do with culture and adventure. Born in Ethiopia and raised in West Africa, Lily has always had a strong case of wanderlust and was boarding planes alone by age 14. After deciding three years ago that life "was too short not to follow the beat of my own drums and do work I love every single day," Sun[Shine] and Stilettos was born to share stories of Lily's adventures with family and friends as a solo female traveler. The blog has since grown into a place where other avid travelers may be inspired to set out and discover the world.

Why We Love It

After discovering this blog, we immediately fell in love with its approach to travel writing: "I write about what moves me...I believe in variety,  and every week won't be the same. My purpose is to pull you into my screen and make you feel as if you're right there with me. To show that the world is a beautiful place..."
