The Study Abroad Blog

The Study Abroad Blog is a well-rounded study abroad resource created and edited by Nate Nault. The blog sets out to answer student’s questions and provide information based on Nate's own extensive experiences abroad. There are numerous aspects that go into studying abroad, and The Study Abroad Blog offers helpful tips and advice from a unique point of view. Due to Nate having studied abroad on both sides of the globe, and managing to travel a large part of Europe (and currently East Asia) on a budget, The Study Abroad Blog makes itself valuable to a continuous and expanding audience of study abroad students.

Why We Love It

The Study Abroad Blog was initially created a few weeks before Nate left for St. Andrews, Scotland on his first study abroad adventure and has since grown into a popular g0-to resource for students seeking advice on everything from what to pack, hostel reviews, language-learning tips, and even more creative subjects like learning how to cook when you're on your own as a college student.

Throughout every experience that he has, Nate says that he is "still out there, still doing it, still learning every day." Recognizing that there will always be something new around every corner is yet another reason The Study Abroad Blog a resource to return to again and again.

If you're in search of even more information, there is a Study Abroad BlogRoll page to check out that makes experiences from students who study in all sorts of different locations more accessible to the study abroad community. In the words of Nate, "the most important point I try to get across is that studying abroad isn't all about academics. The true benefit comes from trying to make the most of the entire, overall experience - meeting new people, seeing new places,  getting a more open view of the world and making the most of it." We couldn't agree more!

Check out The Study Abroad Blog for more information and explore all of your study abroad options on GoAbroad.com!

Every week GoAbroad features an abroad-related blog as our selection for Blog of the Week. The featured blog has been chosen because it features interesting and well-written abroad or travel-related experiences.
