The Travelling Pen
Rosanne Turner is the writer and TEFL instructor behind The Travelling Pen, a blog that documents Rosanne’s adventures in the “land of smiles” — also known as Thailand. As Rosanne notes, it was only a few years ago that she “rekindled a childhood passion for writing, and combined this passion with my love of traveling, to create travel articles for websites and tourism publications.” Her journeys have taken her from Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands, (including Madagascar, Zanzibar, Tanzania and the Transkei) and to the Far East (including China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand).
Why We Love It
As she was previously a course director for Island TEFL Samui, and is now the mastermind behind Samui TEFL, Rosanne Turner has many words of wisdom to offer. The adventures that she chronicles on The Travelling Pen show her enthusiasm for truly experiencing and immersing herself in another culture. No matter where she ends up next, Rosanne’s tongue-in-cheek approach to travel fills The Traveling Pen while providing helpful resources for other travelers who are interested in working abroad or teaching English abroad.
The Travelling Pen also assists others who have passion for taking their education abroad, with TEFL finance tips and humorous posts about the lessons Rosanne has learned along the way. Almost every blog post on The Travelling Pen will have you laughing out loud and awaiting the next update from Rosanne and the “land of smiles.” In the meantime, the gallery of photos from Koh Samui, on The Travelling Pen will inspire you to set sail on your own international adventure.
