Visiting the United States through The Experiment in International Living program means going to Navajo Nation, located in the Western region of the country, an area almost independently run by Native Americans; a ten-day visit to the reservation allows students to witness desert cultural practices passed down from one generation to the next. Through service work and dynamic experience, VISIONS offers new perspectives and deep learning while working for and with under-resourced communities. Through construction-based and other service and on-site living, VISIONS introduces teens to cultures very different from their own.

Yet this rare beauty is in danger. You will get to experience the wonders of this island by flying by waterfalls, through canyons, and over lush terrain on a zip line.

This unique approach to international volunteering provides intercultural education in a service learning environment. The sharing of everyday life, both with the local community and among the international volunteers, is an integral part of the learning and serving experience.
